Seth Thomas, 8-day spring clock. Rectangular rosewood box with hinged glass door. Clock face is square metal, enameled white with black Roman numerals with hour and minute hands. The frame is divided into two sections.
The top reveals the clock face and the bottom is eglomese, (reverse painted) gold, green and red birds flanking a scrolled and diapered gilt urn with crest and florets, on a black ground. Brass pendulum and winding key.
Inside paper: Eight Day Spring Clocks / Seth Thomas with directions for setting the clock, how to regulate it and keep it in order.
