Object Name Suit, Woman's
Description .1 Suit. Woman's wool, single construction suit by David Dow. Fully lined jacket and skirt houndstooth design of gold and brown. Lining is silk crepe of a rust color. Four small mother of pearl buttons on the inside lining of the jacket and four large same cloth covered buttons on the outside. Bound button holes. Princess color with 3 rows of topstitching continuing down the front of the jacket. Set in sleeves and bust darts. Skirt is 27. 5 inches long with a waist band and fully lined, one pleat in the back of the skirt and two diagonal darts on the front from the waist band. Hem hand stitched. Back zipper and hook and eye closure on the skirt. The David Dow label is hand sewn in the lining of the Jacket as is a International Ladies Garment Workers Union. One extra button in the pocket of the jacket in a David Dow envelope. [Jacket is .1a ; skirt is .1b; envelope with extra button is .1c]
